A thought on Alexei Navalny

4th of February 2021, Lund, Sweden

I never was political and, voting for Prokhorov (omg, we did 8 % that year!) and Titov (0.76 %) during the 2012 and 2018 elections, did not get upset with the results much. Neither I have been considering Russia an autocratic state, and I am not sure which side is more repulsive – an absolutely empty liberal opposition or the current system.

I do not support Navalny, though aside from politics his media content is fantastic and valid. However, the recent events and his arrest are clearly a political repression, disaster and an attack on Russian civil society. There are no reasonable excuses in this tragedy.
